Hi,

Does anybody have any idea of State Machine for FIX protocol?

There are two state machines to be maintained

  1. FIX Session states - these are different for session initiator and Session acceptor.

  2. FIX Object states - these are the states thru which Indications of Interest, Order, Execution, Quote … pass thru.

Which of these two are you talking about. You would need both of these if you are building a FIX Engine.

Are you Buy side or Sell side?

What about object state such as new order single , for buy side??
