Hi,

For a mandatory tag of String data type, is a single space or multiple spaces a valid value, or is it suppose to have some character along with the space?

Hi Zeinab,

According to FIX specifications: “Alpha-numeric free format strings, can include any character or punctuation except the delimiter”.

So a single space is technically valid. At business level, it may be better to not populate the tag…
