Postion :Summit Programmer Analyst
Location: NY/NJ
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, re-design, development and delivery of all financial applications. These applications cover stand-alone software and/or extensions to the core trading application (Summit’s trading and risk management software).
Guide junior developers with proper design, coding and testing techniques. Ensure that all new code meets functional and technical specifications, is re-usable where possible and runs according to performance requirements.
Work with business analysts to understand business functionality in order to formalize technical requirements.
Work with QA team to ensure proper testing and delivery of applications.
Provide documentation where required during the development life cycle.
Assist in maintenance and upgrade of existing applications.
Assist in all scripting and job scheduling.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
Strong skills in application design and development required.
Experience and familiarity with Summit Systems and core API required.
Experience and familiarity with Summit Systems’ Trading and Risk Management software and the core API required.
Experience with the Windows NT operating systems and the C/C++ programming languages. Knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
Familiarity with Sybase required.
Desired/Plus:
Unix
Common scripting languages.
Oracle and/or SQL Server
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:
Background in capital markets, particularly with corporate treasury instruments and derivatives required.
