Front Office Application Program Support - Global Equity Trade Execution Sales Division (10% of NYSE volume)
Vice President role will not involve hands on development but must understand all of the above from the foundation standpoint so one can set the direction of the entire group.
80% Production Support / 20% Coding
Extensive UNIX and TCP/IP (APPLICATION LEVEL) Programming experience to include the following languages, C/C++/Java/PERL Scripting/Shell Scripting, responsible for the review of the application development programs submitted by an offshore outfit to review the code concepts, translate such code, make necessary enhancements/changes to improve the code to include the understanding of the full life cycle program processes as well as the responsibility of patch work on the fly.
Network Level TCP/IP code and UDP layer experience working with standard UNIX APIs - Understanding the specific content and behavioral aspects of Network Programming Basic concepts of Semaphores, Socket to Socket interfaces, multi-threading, etc. Candidates will not be required to develop code from scratch but must understand the logic / flow as opposed to pure syntax development.
