ATPI (www.atpi3.com) provides Outsourced IT support to hedge funds. We architect and implement a fund’s internal network including servers, PCs and remote access connectivity. ATPI also supports funds on an on-going basis through proactive monitoring and day-to-day trouble resolution of a fund’s network.
ATPI is based in White Plains, NY. We have built a reputation for providing high quality, responsive IT support to hedge funds. We are adding a Systems Engineer to our team that will be responsible for 1st line support of our clients. This individual will be a skilled trouble-shooter capable of resolving PC, email and VPN issues in a demanding and faced paced environment. The individual must also be a proactive thinker adept at recognizing opportunities that improve a client’s network and business. ATPI’s System Engineer will have extensive client contact often with non-technical personnel at a hedge fund. Therefore, strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical problems and solutions to non-technical personnel, are vital.
Required Skills
• Expert level knowledge of Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP Pro
• Extensive experience and knowledge of MS office 2000/XP/2003 applications
• Strong background and experience setting and diagnosing VPN client environments
• Experience with PDAs, printers, USB devices and other PC peripherals
• Familiarity with DSL/cable modem routers
• Understanding of wireless networks and wireless security
• Experience with Remote Control Applications (i.e. VNC, Citrix, PCanywhere, etc….)
• Basic knowledge of network file security and network email systems
• Good documentation skills
• 2-3 years IT or trading support experience at a hedge fund, broker, money manager or service provider focused on the securities industry
