CREST SWIFT Systems Support Engineer
Location:- London
The position is to work within our Infrastructure Management Group, specifically on External Systems connectivity. The task is to manage, on a day to day basis, the Clearing & Reporting Infrastructure, Crest Gateways and SwiftNet Infrastructure and a variety of other server based applications.
Day to day monitoring and support of cross divisional Clearing & Trade Reporting systems. Implementation and updating of various Clearing and Reporting systems.
Working with Engineering, SA and Front End teams to provide enhanced service levels.
Close liaison Equities Back Office Operations Groups to ensure the Firm’s legal responsibilities are met regarding Trade Reporting.
The position is for someone to work as part of Core Infrastructure Support. This group is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all the Clearing and Reporting systems within the Company. Primary duties will involve monitoring and problem resolution of these systems, ensuring that the systems perform to their required specifications. The Firm’s Clearing and Reporting systems are required 24 X 7 and some transfer processes are legally bound to occur within set time-frames. Any candidate should have worked in a similar, high pressure environment for at least the last 2 years.
Knowledge and/ or experience of the following products and services would be useful.
Crest/ Swift.
Clearing 21, Euroclear or other clearing systems.
Automated File Transfer, Curl.
Experience of monitoring and supporting client/ server based systems.
Experience of installing and configuring automated data transfer systems.
Experience of Perl & shell scripting Good understanding of Unix (Solaris) OS and all mainstream Operating Systems.
Good understanding of Networking (IP, multicast, firewalls etc)
