Job Summary:
As an integral part of the software development team, the tactical developer will work intimately with mission-critical proprietary application systems. The developer will spend the majority of his/her time on the trading desk, supporting traders, trading assistants and operations staff. The specific position responsibilities will include programming/debugging Access/Excel applications, monitoring status and functionality of systems and investigating, identifying, and resolving user and application problems in a timely manner.
Key Qualifications:
At least 2 years of advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel, and VBA Programming Skills
Excel Add-In Experience, i.e. integration of libraries into Excel
Strong Communication Skills (Written & Oral)
Strong Problem Solving Skills
Excellent interpersonal Skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Database experience, ideally PL/SQL, C# and .Net experience is a plus
Strong Math Skills
Strong interest in Finance and the Finance Industry, specifically Fixed Income
