hi,

SenderLocationID tag 142 (we’re specifically talking about 4.2 version of FIX correct?) I believe it’s not a required tag for a logon request, based on FIX 4.2 technical specifications.

Then of course when initially implementing message flow with your counterparty you would want to check with them on whether or not they expect to receive it in the logon request(35=A).
