Tag "380" Business Reject Reason

Hi everyone,

Interested to get any input on the following two Business Reject Reasons sent within the tag “380”:
“8” = Throttle limit exceeded and “10” = Throttled messages rejected on request.

What is the difference between them? In which cases are they used exactly?

Thanks in advance.

Please see Extension Pack 116 (https://www.fixtrading.org/packages/ep116/) for details. Basically, exceeding a throttle limit can lead to queuing or a rejection of messages. Field ThrottleInst(1685) allows you to request one or the other behaviour on a specific message you send to your counterparty, e.g. NewOrderSingle. ThrottleAction(1611) is similar but part of the UserNotification(CB) and UserResponse(35=BF) message, i.e. apply to the entire session. BusinessRejectReason(380) is then for generic outbound information on a given message.

Thanks a lot.
