The FIX 4.2 spec with Errata 20010501 includes tag 427 (GTBookingInst) in the definition of a New Order Single message but the tag is not included in the NOS definition published on FIXIMATE.

Am I correct in assuming given the tag content that is it FIXMATE that is incorrect here?

You are correct. Tag 427 should be reflected in FIXimate as being part of the New Order Single message. We are planning to regenerate all versions of FIXimate next month using a new format which will correct this problem.

If you regenerate the FIXimate stuff, please ensure that it is usable with other browsers, too. Most popular include:

  • Mozilla
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Netscape

with reasonable new versions.

I did not check very thoroughly, but part of the FIXimate is broken for me since there is no MS Explorer on Linux.

I would happy to test any changes with Linux browsers.

As part of the up coming Service Pack release we are releasing a new version of FIXimate that will be tested against other browers including Netscape, Firefox, IE and Opera. I personally have been testing the beta version using Netscape 7.2 and it is working well. We’d be happy to have your help in testing FIXimate on the Linux platform once we publish Candidate Release 1 of the Service Pack.

We’d be happy to have your help in testing FIXimate on the Linux

At least I can offer to test it with KDE Konqueror and Mozilla/Firefox 1.5. If helpful, I could also install Netscape and the plain Mozilla 1.7.

For Windows testing, you could download the mozilla-type browser from

http://www.mozilla.org/download.html

(ie Firefox, Mozilla and SeaMonkey.)

Please send me a copy of your release candidate and I will be happy to test.
