Hello All-

tag 297 in 4.4 has the following ENUM. can someone pls explain the uses of the values with the “?” below. 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.

3 Canceled for Underlying
4 Canceled All
5 Rejected
6 Removed from Market
7 Expired
?8 Query?
9 Quote Not Found
10 Pending
?11 Pass?
?12 Locked Market Warning?
?13 Cross Market Warning?
?14 Canceled due to lock market?
?15 Canceled due to cross market?

Please refer to the flows and usage tables in volume 7 of FIX5.0SP2 but generally speaking:

297=8 (query) will be present in quote status report or mass quote acknowledgement (if multiple quotes are involved) in response to a quote status request with the subscription request type set to snapshot or snapshot + updates.

297=11 (pass) refers to when the respondent rejects the quote request submitted by the initiator (vice-versa if they are countering each other) indicating that the proposed terms of the deal are not acceptable.

297=12 (locked) is likely to be used when a quote is locked for execution in another venue.

This highlighted some errors in that table from the spec - the table refers to apparently non existent values of QuoteEntryStatus. See the above FIXwiki page.
