Position:Technical Consultant
To elicit and capture the technical requirements of Our Client’s clients and to serve as the technical lead throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
�� Leads effort to elicit, validate and prioritize client technical requirements related to the solution set
�� Confirms technical requirements with client
�� Presents and negotiates technical solution components with client
�� Serves as chief internal representative for client technical requirements and environment for the project team
�� Delivers definitive and instructive direction to the project team for all technical requirements and all technical related queries throughout the life of the project
�� Conveys detailed information to the client concerning platform compatibility and other technical standards of Our Client’s solution
�� Explains solution hardware and configuration installation requirements
�� Creates and maintains representative test environment for Our Client’s project team
�� Installs or assists with solution installation process
�� Troubleshoots all technical issues through the life of the project
�� Leads effort with Project Manager and Solution Design Team to design a
solution to fulfil technical requirements
�� Provides assistance to resolve post-implementation specific defects
�� Presents and discusses Accurate technology during the sales process as
required
�� Plays a key role in upholding the primary objectives of the Delivery Charter
Primary Skills and Attributes:
�� Able to elicit and capture technical requirements
�� Knowledgeable of computer networks, networking hardware, and the Internet
�� Owns strong communication skills in both verbal and written form including a solid grasp of diplomacy and how to utilize communication style,temperament, tone, etc. both internally and externally
�� Comfortable working directly with clients
�� Willingness and ability to make critical technical decisions through the course of development projects
�� Ability to assess opinions and outputs of business and product resources on the Project Team
�� Capable of understanding situations that are less than fully defined and detailed, exhibiting the ability to bring tangibility to ambiguous situations
�� Possesses significant experience in adhering to procedures and processes required for the effective implementation of projects
�� Ability to work in a collaborative spirit
�� Expert in analysis and problem solving
�� Leads technical innovations and changes to improve the overall performance of processes & products
�� Continually updates technical knowledge
�� Provides expert input and mentoring to other technical staff
�� Self-motivated and decisive
Qualifications:
�� Degree level education
�� 3+ years software implementation experience with external customers
�� Strong knowledge of MS Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
�� Expert in Unix and Windows environments
�� Strong knowledge with two or more RDBMS products(Oracle, Sybase or
MSSQL)
�� Knowledgeable of hardware
�� Proficient with web environments and web servers, particularly Microsoft IIS and Apache
�� Programming or scripting experience
�� Intermediate knowledge of SQL
�� Proven experience on implementations of customisable software applications
�� Able to travel up to 50%
