Varden Technologies, a Boston-based technology consulting company servicing the financial services industry, seeks candidates for Technical Consultant positions. Ideal candidates possess strong programming skills and have extensive experience with one or more vendor products used by buy-side or sell-side investment professionals. A strong understanding of the FIX protocol is a plus.
Candidates should have experience with all or some of the following:
- A combination of VB6, COM+/DLL development experience
- .NET development experience utilizing VB.NET(OOP) and ASP.NET
- Development/integration of web services in .NET Framework based web applications
- Thorough understanding of database driven web applications is required.
- Other necessary skills include MS-SQL 2000, Transact SQL, ADO/ADO.NET, ASP, XML/XSD, XSL, VB Script, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, Visual Studio/VS.NET and CSS
