I am a reporter for STPforum, a quarterly journal, and I am looking to write an article on FIX for my next (Sibos) issue. My technical understandig of FIX is incredibly limited and so I would welcome any assistance that you may be able to give me and set up some short interviews for the piece.
It stems from Celent Communications’ report last year on the future for FIX. Principally it suggested adoption would continue but at an incredibly slow pace, especially in foreign exchange and derivatives, and that the various versions and potential new XML versions of FIX would cause problems as those in equities would be reluctant to move from their existing versions. It does however conclude that it is fundamental for STP in the future.
If you have any thoughts about this or any suggestions you would like to make I would be very grateful and ask that you send me a brief email and then hopefully we may be able to follow that up later this week or next.
