I am new to FIX and would like to obtain a level of education that would allow me to start applying to positions that have this protocol as a requirement.
I’ve done some research and saw a few sources that have events in late January but I would like to start my learning/certification now.
Please let me know if you have any recommended sources or material. Thank you in advance.
@egzonz could you please be more specific in terms of the topic(s)? Broadly, there are 3 areas:
Data standards (application layer, understand semantics of messages, fields and values)
Data representations (encoding, e.g. tag=value, FIXML, SBE, JSON,…)
Data distribution (session layer, e.g. FIXT, FIXP)
Take a look at Training Resources on https://www.fixtrading.org/beginners-resources/. Slides are now almost 20 years old but if you want to start with the basics, then that is good enough.
