TRACE DATAWISE PARTNERSHIP WITH APT AND FIX ENGINE INTEGRATION EXTENDS USE OF MPF TO FRONT OFFICE

Trace Datawise Financial Limited (Trace Datawise), a wholly owned subsidiary of Trace Group plc, has signed an agreement with APT Computer Systems to integrate APT’s FIX engine with Trace’s Message Processing Framework (MPF) product suite. This extension of back-end connectivity within MPF is complementary to the recently launched WebTM web browser-based data entry facility for MPF.

The enhanced MPF product is now able to process FIX messages through the APT FIX engine. The transaction data for these messages is collected in a variety of ways according to client preferences - through WebTM by manual input / file import; by direct access to the client’s back-office database; or indeed by conversion of messages received from other networks such as SWIFT.

The solution, targeted at brokers and fund managers, offers end to end transaction processing using FIX based connectivity. The MPF architecture with WebTM offers seamless transaction processing, message transformation and low-cost connectivity to any network.

Says Trace Datawise Managing Director Jo Sethi: “This combined implementation of the most comprehensive STP architecture yet provides business benefits as well as significant cost savings. Transactions should be faster, safer and much more straightforward.”

David Shobrook, APT Sales Director, commented, “We signed an agreement with Trace Financial earlier this year and in partnering with Trace Datawise have further strengthened our offering. Our customers now have access to a rich selection of connectivity software solutions where SWIFT and FIX converge which can be tailored to meet their evolving requirements.”
