Trade Amendment from APA Post trade transparency reporting point of view

from post trade transparency reporting, following trade events are to be reported:

  1. New trade
  2. Amended trade
  3. Cancelled trade
from MiIFID II perspective, what is considered as amended trade?
is it any change in FIX tag already reported or only economic / intrinsic values changes?
    Thanks, alex

I do not know whether there is an explicit description of this from ESMA. I would assume that ESMA is not asking for information it is not interested in. That would mean that any change to your report is an amendment from the viewppoint of ESMA as it would otherwise use your outdated data instead of the final one that you have in your records.

Recommendation from most APA is to report an amendment (which will be modelled as Cancel/New) when any of the reportable values are amended in the Trade Record. Any changes to non-reportable values will require no further action.
