Major Investment Bank (NYC) has an opening for Trading and Connectivity Analyst:
The opening is within the Cash and Connectivity operate team, facing off to the front and middle office teams within the Equities business. The team supports an integrated platform of applications consisting of trading, order routing, allocations, settlements and risk management systems. The team is in an expansion mode as the North American Equities trading and order routing volumes grow rapidly.
The Operate team is responsible for the following areas:
Ensure that short term and long term strategic technology needs of the equity trading businesses are delivered by providing a stable and functioning production trading environment on both the infrastructure and application level.
Ensure that connectivity to ECNs and exchanges is available and functioning correctly.
Manage capacity and resiliency of the production environment.
Ensure that all production applications are available and functioning correctly.
Investigate bugs and inconsistent data integrity within applications
Coordinate are testing and release of bug fixes and new enhancements into the production environment.
Liaise with the business to identify new demands and work with the application build teams in order to implement them.
Work with Operate teams in Europe and Asia/Pacific to coordinate global application support.
A flexible approach to working hours is required; in order to cover the trading hours there is a rotation system in place. On-site support is given by the team between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Occasional weekend work to support testing and releases is required.
