My client, a mjaor financial firm in NYC is currently looking for:
Trading App Project Manager
Position Description:
·Assist in the business analysis and project management in support of Trading applications.
·This individual will be reporting directly to the Project Integration lead for Trading applications.
·Will be responsible for working with development managers and end-users in developing technology solutions to business needs and in supporting a team of professionals in coordinating the efforts of development projects and ensure a consistent information capture, tracking and reporting methodology is used for those projects which have a direct impact on the bottom line of the business.
·Will be expected to be able to lead small projects within three months of hire.
·Must be highly proactive and professional, able to facilitate change, and an effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with multiple constituencies representing business development, operations, and technology.
Skills Required
·Processes, marketing, including role in major business-driven technology initiative involving process improvement, product launch/enhancement, data quality improvement.
·Should have an understanding of retail financial services.
·Must have the ability to interact between business and technology departments, and be able to effectively capture, track and objectively report meaningful information to various constituencies that will facilitate the development of technology solutions and the timely and efficient completion of resultant development initiatives in accordance with business requirements.
·This should include at least 3 years of experience in marketing, operational or accounting areas, involving close interaction with technology professionals.
·Good interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate or contribute thought leadership are required.
·This person should have an understanding of the retail financial services business.
·Must be proficient in the use of analytical and project management support tools, and be able to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
Skills Desired
·Individual should come from a structured environment - good process experience and an understanding of the business application of technology.
·Hands-on development experience a plus.
