Job Summary: SIG is actively recruiting for an experienced professional to join our Trading Room Tech Support Team. This team is responsible for supporting and maintaining the highly critical systems and applications in use by our 300+ trading personnel. Working directly on the floor these individuals troubleshoot and resolve issues in the following areas: hardware and software, telecommunications, 3rd party market data and proprietary applications, and network connectivity. Additional technical services provided by this team include trading room moves, adds, and changes, implementing technical projects and interacting with other SIG technical groups and external vendors.

The Trading Room Tech team remains involved in the identification and resolution of all issues and are expected to keep their customers well informed of their progress. The qualified candidate will also be tasked with developing a basic knowledge of standard SIG products, procedures and technologies to an advanced user level, and actively working to accomplish department and/or SIG quality levels.

Key Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in a desktop/technical position

Strong Windows XP installation and troubleshooting skills

Strong PC hardware installation and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of networking and telecommunications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 including Outlook

Experience with Market Data service platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and MicroHedge preferred

Prior industry knowledge or a willingness to learn

Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities accordingly

Previous trading room support experience a plus

Ability to lift/move objects up to fifty (50) pounds
