Sorry for crossposting; I don’t know if people have subscribed yet to the new “4.2 Changes” discussion group.
A new Market Data draft document is available under "Specifications / Drafts".
It seems that in merging the draft circulating in the ECNs/Exchanges Working Group into the FIX 4.2 draft 1, several typos were made related to whether fields were required or conditional. These have been fixed in the posted draft.
In addition, the draft has several proposed changes, mostly to clarify wording, and provide extended features as a result of integrating suggestions I’ve received.
