US-CT: Client Connectivity Project Manager

Major financial institution in Connecticut is seeking a Client Connectivity Project Manager to work with Developers and Systems Analyst/Business Analyst within the IT team, providing planning, budgeting, management, communications, oganization, and documentation for the applications development team. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on delivery to the business and project management skills,
experience with managing a team in transition.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong, proven, adaptable project management skills.
  • Manage a team of developers.
  • Management of skill sets and planning and recruiting replacements, where necessary.
  • Technical skills in programming with C, C++
  • Technical proficiency in UNIX and Linux
  • Experience managing MS-Windows or other GUI applications and server-side components
  • Work in a high stress environment, with a keen focus on delivery.
  • Background with development processes, including iterative development methodologies.
  • Verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with specific tools, including Unix, issue tracking
    systems and relational databases, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience in equity trading, program trading, DMA and electronic trading environments
  • Experience with the FIX protocol
