Major financial services firm is seeking a Market Links Team Lead to lead development and maintenance of electronic links to equities exchanges and liquidity sources (eg. DOT, Island, Archipelago). Position may involve management of a 2-3 person team; develop, debug, and support infrastructure (server side) components for a high throughput, highly available, and scalable execution system electronically connecting to multiple order sources and liquidity pools.
Candidates must have experience connecting to electronic exchanges / ECNs using CMS and/or FIX protocols; must have strong OO design and programming skills in C++, and must be familiar with concepts of high performance multi-threaded programming (thread pools, critical segments) Should be at least 3-4 years practical experience; familiarity with interprocess communications using sockets; experience with development in a Unix and/or Linux environment, preferably Solaris 8 / Red Hat; experience with development in a financial (preferrably equities execution) setting, or development on a high throughput HA transaction oriented system; requires excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to explain concepts and ideas clearly and concisely.
