Major financial institution is seeking a C++ developer to play a leading role of a team supporting the Electronic and Program Trading businesses. Duties include:
· Design, Develop, integrate, implement and maintain infrastructural components and server side applications such as messaging middleware, order management, real-time market data and analytics frameworks.
· Design and implement API’s for interfacing trading strategies with the trading engines, order management and market data.
· Develop and support analytical and data services supporting the trading strategies.
· Work on development tools for testing, building, deployment.
REQUIREMENTS:
· BS in Engineering/Physical Sciences/Computer Science from a top school.
· Strong C++ development skills with a minimum of 5 years of development experience, preferably at a Wall Street firm or in a related field.
· Detailed knowledge and demonstrable experience with IPC mechanisms, event-driven and multithreaded systems programming, STL required
· Recent hands-on experience in designing and implementing mission critical, highly available, high throughput real-time applications
· Experience developing on Solaris/Linux operating systems required.
· Experience should include involvement in full application life cycle of several products, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance/enhancements
· Experience with high-performance messaging/middleware (TIBCO RV, Custom) and persistence mechanisms (in-memory databases, memory mapped files) preferred.
· Knowledge of FIX protocol and market data API’s desired
· Good understanding of equities/electronic trading business. Prior experience developing automated/quantitative/program trading or equity order management systems strongly preferred.
· Strong analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.
