The Charles River IMS incorporates a modern technical architecture to support the front and middle-office needs of global financial organizations. The architecture consists of C# and .NET front-end, J2EE middle-tier,FIX, Web Services, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase), XML messaging, and web reporting.

We are currently in need of a Vice President-Product Management who can work across all modules (workbench, modeler, blotter, compliance, settlements, etc.) and instrument types (equity, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.) and handle the management of all the technical/delivery aspects of the product.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Product Managers in their responsibilities of gathering requirements from internal & external parties (clients, partners, vendors, etc.) and creation of business requirement specifications
• Manage the preparation of product impact assessments and review with engineering groups the estimates effort
• Summarizes the task for wider internal & external reviews and funding decisions
• Manage the analyzes priorities and makes recommendations for product calendar
• Manage functional specifications and reviews with interested parties
• Reviews development process on an ongoing basis
• Manage the reviews the QA and documentation process on an ongoing basis
• Manage the preparation of product literature and placement strategy
• Manage the coordination of training and support resources
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree (Master’s preferred) from a leading University. (Computer Science degree preferred)
• Specific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, FIX, workflows, major players, trends, etc.)
• 12+ years of experience in either product management or systems analysis developing and delivering a multi-tier financial applications. 5+ years in senior management of PM or Development capacity.
• Strong technical and architectural background (Java and .NET experience preferred)
• Proven experience in managing development of similar products
• High motivation with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and deliver.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work with many internal and external parties and coordinate efforts so all interested parties are informed and working towards the common goal within the same timeframe. Exceptional communication skills required
