what tickers on what exchange

hi everybody,

we use bloomberg as our data provider. so the
orderdesk people enter bloomberg tickers into the
oms. as i was reading that exchanges do not evaluate the ISIN, if sent in the fix message. so the question is, do we run into problems on US or european exchanges, if we send the bloomberg ticker in field 55 (symbol) ?

You’ll want to discuss and agree upon use of Symbol (tag 55) that with your counterparties. Note that SecurityIDSource (tag 22) of ‘A’ represents Bloomberg Symbol.
