Withdrawal of Cancel/Replace and cancel Request?

Hi Friends,

(In FIX 4.2) Is there any way a Buy-Side can withdraw the Cancel/Replace or Cancel Request it had placed for an order earlier ?

I would argue that “withdrawal” of a cancel/replace corresponds to changing attributes back to what they were before. This might not be possible if the change relates to the order quantity and results in an implicit cancellation which is then equal to the second case you ask about.

In my view, the “withdrawal” of a cancel is a NewOrderSingle, i.e. you basically re-issue the order.
