Since FIXProtocol has become the de-facto messaging standard for pre-trade and trade communication globally and is most widely used and fastest growing protocol for securities transactions information, it would be beneficial for FPL@FIXProtocol.org to become Affiliate member of International Organization of Securities Commissions @ http://www.iosco.org/ with active participation in their Technical committee @ https://www.iosco.org/lists/display_committees.cfm?cmtid=3 so that FIXProtocol can be used as the medium of communication between different members when exchanging data across borders for surveillence and enforcement purposes. Also IOSCO could become a FPL member and benefit from the experience that FPL has developed as the industry leading forum for securities trading messaging standards.
