On February 17th a meeting was held in the New York offices of Standard and Poors to bring together the various groups currently working on XML based initiatives in the financial community. The purpose of the meeting was to share information and identify commonality in terms of approach, framework, and agreed principals, as well as potential points of convergence. The meeting was hosted by Steve Conway of Northern Trust, John Goeller of Salomon Smith Barney, Daniel Stamler of Merrill Lynch and Harry Lopez of S&P.
