About InstrumentExtension Block in Security Definition Response

I wish to know if InstruementExtension Component (esp. Tag=871 & Tag=872)be used for representing Delivery Qty Unit, Price Unit, Qty Unit attributes of an Commodity futures instrument, while sending of Security Definition Response.
Also,can Security Definition(Msg Type=d) be sent to client indicating any change in parameters of an Instrument (intraday) without a receipt of Security Definition Request(Msg Type = c) from the client, just like a broadcast message.
