Interactive Brokers LLC, a leader in online brokerage, seeks a software engineers. This position will emphasize data modeling and process automation. Database systems developed by this group play a central role in a global trading and brokerage operation. Strong C++, OO design and data modeling skills required. Oracle (SQL/Plus, PL/SQL), Perl, and Java experience required.
The primary areas of responsibility include.
· Maintain and improve a trading instrument resource center built with Oracle databases that provides up-to-date and detailed information on contract specification for a spectrum of financial instruments traded on over 50 exchanges world-wide. Develop APIs for accessing and configuring the database, as well as an automatic system to incorporate instrument updates into the database from a variety of sources. Responsible for continuously designing and developing new features for the resource center. Also responsible for supporting an operator for daily database maintenance tasks.
· Design, develop and deploy database systems to support new product groups and services for the firm. These currently include support for fixed income instruments as well as coverage of fundamental corporate data.
· Ongoing development of the Interactive Analytics (SM) system for IB’s Trader Work Station. This is a real time derivative pricing and risk analysis system.
The environment is UNIX and Oracle (8i and above).
