Call Auction in FIX

Hi,
We are using the FIX 4.2 protocol in our Trading System. Now we need implement the “Call Auction” functionality in our system. Is there a way to do the same in FIX4.2 using the existing messages of FIX 4.2?

Given the brevity of your question my answer is simply “yes”. There are many different variants of call auctions so I suggest to start detailed design and then post specific questions as you come across elements perceived to be a gap.
On a general note, I can assure you that many gaps have been closed since FIX 4.2 was released in March 2000. Windows 2000 was released about at the same time but there are not too many installations of it left out there. Unfortunately the opposite is true for FIX 4.2. You should rather check how current FIX supports your requirements and then try to retrofit it to your current version by means of user-defined messages, fields and valid values where needed. That will make it easier to migrate to the current version of FIX once you have a business case to do so.
