Hi,

I had a doubt regarding describing the series field in the SPOT contracts.what is TAG for describing series in spot contracts?
Can the (Symbol Sfx) be used to describe the series.

Hi Vinay,

Yes, you should use tag65 (Symbol Sfx) to describe the series. Some FIX vendors prefer tag65 as a mandatory along with new order if the Buy side is sending tag 22=8 (Exchange Symbol).

For example you could describe the sereies as below.

For National Stock Exchange equity tag65=EQ (default)
For Bombay Stock Exchange equity tag65=�hA,B,S,T,TS or Z�h This is group wise.
