Done for Day vs Expired

Imported from previous forum

I’m trying to determine the correct interpretation of Done for Day and Expired. Would the following be considered correct practice:

  • Day order not fully executed

  • Exec Rpt with OrdStatus=Expired sent at end of trading

  • Good Till Cancel or Good Till Date partially executed across several days

  • Done for Day sent at the end of each trading day, Expired sent if the Time-in-Force elapses

Are there other variations in common use?

Thanks,

David.
