FIX Press Release: Tony Barral of NYFIX Elected as Co-Chair of FPL Global Fixed Income Committee

May 18, 2005 - FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) has announced that Tony Barral of NYFIX has been elected to the Co-Chair position of the Global Fixed Income Committee (GFIC). He will work alongside Dan Doscas of HSBC who has served in this position since the beginning of 2003.

Anthony Barral is Vice President of NYFIX FIX Technology and Professional Services Group, where he is responsible for business development and expanding professional consulting services within the FIX user community. Mr. Barral joined NYFIX in 2005 with over ten years experience in the financial markets, including retail, institutional sales and trading. Prior to joining NYFIX, Mr. Barral held a position with Trading Metrics, Inc. and his experience also encompasses a number of roles in business development, research, marketing and trading for firms including: iPaidSafe, Wachovia Securities, ElephantX.com and Lehman Brothers.

Dan Doscas of HSBC and Global Fixed Income Co-Chair stated, “I am pleased to share the co-chair position with Tony and look forward to leading this group together and further pushing the initiatives of FIX for fixed income.”

In addition, the Certification Working Group welcomed Brian Gay of TransactTools as the new chair. Brian succeeds Max Mansur of SWIFT who has served in this post since the launch of the working group in 2003.
