In FIX.4.0 specs, I could not find any section on “FIX Session-level Test Cases and Expected Behaviors” which I found in FIXT.1.1 specs. I have not checked the in between FIX version specs. Are they located in a different document(s) for other versions.
The original “FIX Session-level Test Cases and Expected Behaviors” document was produced in July 2001, and is effectively version-independent (it was never made a part of a 4.x spec document). That standalone document is near the bottom of:
