Hi,

Hope someone will help me on the following problem that I faced.

As per our system requirements we need some fields which are not defined in the standard FIX4.2 Specifications. we are planning to use user defined tags in the Standard FIX4.2 Message(ExecutionReport). How to generate user defined fileds in version FIX4.2.

User defined fields should use tag numbers between 5000 and 9999. There is a section on the FIX website under Tech Resources, Custom Fields in which one can "register" (reserve) a specific tag number for a custom field in order to prevent collisions. Note that use of user defined fields requires bi-lateral committment between counterparties.
