FIXimate, a web browser-based tool to navigate through the messages and fields of the FIX Protocol specification, has been made available to the public by FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) for some time. Versions of FIXimate exist for FIX Protocol versions 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4, and can be found within "Specifications" on the FIX website.
While the early editions (4.0, 4.1, and 4.2) of FIXimate worked in web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x, users of the tool encountered problems when using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x.
These issues have been addressed and thus all versions FIXimate now support Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x as well as most other browsers. The FIX Global Technical Committee would like to thank Jim Northey who analyzed and modified FIXimate.
