Leading global financial markets software house requires a talented Java Developer/Systems Programmers with 3 - 5 yrs programming experience, gained in a highly commercial, structured blue-chip environment. Candidates will have a strong, engineering oriented educational background - PhD, MSc or BSc (1st/upper 2nd class ideally) eg. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths, Stats, Operational Research, Physics, Quant Analysis, Electrical Engineering or similar. Successful candidates will have exceptional programming in ability in Java, including low-level, multi- threading/synchronization, OO design patterns, network/socket programing with experience working on projects and BAU enhancements, through the full SDLC development life cycle. Prior FIX experience in financial markets is neccessity also. Candidates will be client focused and flexible with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a highly dynamic, fluid environment. Only ambitious, talented and highly motivated individuals with a burning desire to succedd in financial markets/trading will be considered.
