Hi All,
Is there a standard methodology to communicate that the end of transmission for all the available ApplIDs has reached.
For example, assume that there are 3 ApplIDs (e.g. a 3 partition system) present and an Order Mass Status request is received for the system. How do we communicate that we have served the entire request and there are no more messages to be sent.
I have found two alternatives in fix protocol.
- Tag 912 - LastRptRequested - Indicates whether this message is that last report message in response to a request, such as Order Mass Status Request.
Is this widely accepted as a method to communicate that the end of transmission for all the available ApplIDs. (i.e. not just for a single AppLID)
- ApplicationMessageReport - This message is used for three different purposes: to reset the ApplSeqNum (1181) of a specified ApplID (1180). to indicate that the last message has been sent for a particular ApplID, or as a keep-alive mechanism for ApplIDs with infrequent message traffic. The purpose of the Application Message Report is indicated by ApplReportType (1426).
This seems to be also for a particular ApplID only.
Please assist, with the currently used methods.
Thanks,
Buddhika
