I believe the following fields should be of type NumInGroup but are instead of type int or string: 580 NoDates 604 NoLegSecurityAltID 534 NoAffectedOrders 576 NoClearingInstructions Some of these have been fixed in some versions but not in others. For example, 576 is only incorrect in FIX 4.3 and 534 is correct in 5.0SP1 and later. Are we likely to see fixes for these in existing FIX versions or only in later service packs?
You are correct. Captured the defects into FPL’s issue tracking system. Will be corrected in FIX Repository Maintenance Release 2009.
Jira SPEC-250 → 580 NoDates
Jira SPEC-251 → 604 NoLegSecurityAltID
Jira SPEC-252 → 534 NoAffectedOrders
Jira SPEC-253 → 576 NoClearingInstructions
Thank you for taking the time to report the errors! We greatly appreciate it. The Repository Working Group will be overseeing and scheduling the exact dates of the FIX Repository Maintenance Release 2009. It would be good if someone from ORC could participate in the Repository WG.
