Hi every body
i want your help please
i make a new order with FIX.4.2 but it always reply to me with an execution report with reject where it say that the reason of rejection is “Unspecified side”

can any one help me please ???

did you specify the side (tag 54) of your order on your new order FIX message? 54=1 buy, 54=2 sell,…

yes i specify it but due to the specification i make them like this :
54=0110 buy, 54=0111 sell is this right or i must enter then in their equivelant decimal or (1,2) ??? thank you for your help and care

check http://fixprotocol.org/specifications/fix4.2fiximate/index.html and go to tag 54 (valid values - use decimal representation) Side of orderValid values:1 = Buy 2 = Sell 3 = Buy minus 4 = Sell plus 5 = Sell short 6 = Sell short exempt 7 = Undisclosed (valid for IOI and List Order messages only) 8 = Cross (orders where counterparty is an exchange, valid for all messages except IOIs) 9 = Cross short
