New Version of FPL's FIXwiki

Imported from previous forum

FPL has released a new version of FIXwiki – see http://fixwiki.org/ .

The new FIXwiki now includes Extension Pack (EP) information.

Here are a few notes illustrating the new EP support:

  • The FIXwiki main page has added a link called “FIX Extension Packs”. Clicking on that link takes you to http://fixwiki.org/fixwiki/Category:ExtensionPack which is a list of all EPs.

  • Click on one of the EP links to go to the page for that extension pack. For example, http://fixwiki.org/fixwiki/Category:EP157. This page has links to all other FIXwiki pages associated with EP157. Note also the link at the top of the page to the FPL website page for that EP where you will see a summary description of the EP. If you are logged into the FPL website, you will also see all the official documents related to that EP, including the formal proposal document, the FIXML Schema and the FIX repository data.

  • Click on the HaircutIndicator link on the EP157 page to take you to http://fixwiki.org/fixwiki/HaircutIndicator. Note that the “First Introduced” field on that page has links to both the FIX.5.0SP2 version page and the EP157 page.

FIXwiki is also now fully up to date with the latest version of the FIX Specification. This is a result of the good work carried out by FPL’s “continuous build” project under the leadership of Jim Northey, Co-Chair FPL Americas Regional Committee. That project ensures that all official FPL specification reference tools including FIXimate and FIXwiki will always be up to date with the latest developments in the FIX specification.
