Hi,

I have a few questions regarding NewOrderList and its use:

  • Could it be used to allow customers to place a group of individual orders in a single message into the market? If the answer is yet, as orders get filled, is it correct workflow to individual ER per order?

  • NewOrderList does not include LegOrdGrp and in FIX 5.0, settlDate2, OrderQty2 and Price2 have been deprecated. Does this mean that NewOrderList is not meant to place a group of FX Swap orders into the market?

  • Is there an alternative to support management of group of individual orders that can be priced, cancelled, filled independently?

Ainhoa,

List Orders are definitely used to submit a bunch of otherwise unrelated orders. The status for the orders is reported back using Execution Reports as usual.

I do not know the answer to the FX Swap question.

Regarding management of groups of individual orders, FIX does not provide separate messages or work flows except for List Orders.
