What features would you like to see in an open source C++ FAST protocol implementation, beyond an object model equivalent of the reference code?

Hi

The code is somewhat clear and helps one in understanding how the various fields are encoded. But sample templates and input and output files would be helpful. Templates will groups etc would help one in creating specifications for real market data.
