The PegPriceType (1094) field has the following valid value (among others):
6 - Fixed Peg to Local best bid or offer at time of order
All values for this new field were copied from the peg-values of the ExecInst(18) field (values that were simultaneously deprecated).
However, the Pegged Orders chapter of volume 4 has the following text:
“Prior FIX specifications defined ExecInst = Fixed Peg to Local best bid or offer at time of order (T). This must now be expressed as a pegged order with PegPriceType = Primary Peg (5), PegMoveType = Fixed (1), and PegScope = Local (1).”
It seems that ExecInst (18) = T should have been a deprecated value in 4.4 and thereby the PegPriceType (1094) = 6 never introduced into 5.0.
