My name is Craig Rofhok, I am an independent recruiter based out of NYC. I have a client in the new york city, who is looking for a 3-5 year Java Developer with C++ experience, UNIX and knowledge of trading systems design and development. Other relevant but not necessary skills would include (are not required) middleware, SWIFT, FIX, ect… The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the integration of STP’s for customers of client.
The client is a leading electronic marketplace for foreign exchange (“FX”) and related services. Client’s product connects corporate and institutional clients with major FX dealers. Client offer’s leading-edge technology, top FX professionals, and an advisory board of sophisticated clients that will ensure that client’s software provides a premier site for foreign exchange pricing, execution, and research. Partner firms are: Bank of America, The Bank of New York, The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse First Boston, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Royal Bank of Canada, The Royal Bank of Scotland, UBS Warburg, and Westpac Banking Corporation.
Focus on product development and integration with institutional clients/customer, provider banks and 3rd party software vendors.
Act as team member for all STP related developments (client integration, Settlement Ctr)
Work with team members responsible for liaising with vendors, approving and recommending technical implementation
Work with Product development to gather functional specifications
Work with QA and Infrastructure team to ensure on time implementation into production
Development support for clients on the API integration (production and testing) and troubleshoot daily technical problems
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Should have experience in:
XML, Java, C++
VB
NT and Sun Solaris
Internet and web services
SWIFT, SWIFT connectivity applications (like SWIFT Alliance or Logica)
Post trade processing (matching, netting, confirmation, SSI, etc.)
Middleware messaging products (like Heliograph, Mercator, Financial Fusion, 110 Salerio, etc)
Experience with the following a plus:
OMS or PMS systems
Utilities or Industry Standards like GSTPA, OMGEO, FIX , FpML
