The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Gap Analysis submitted by the Deutsche Börse Group. FIX supports self-match prevention (SMP) where the field SelfMatchPreventionID(2362) has been introduced with EP211 for this purpose. This new proposal provides the ability to instruct the recipient of an order to take a specific action when both the incoming and a resting order have the same self-match prevention identifier.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the GTC will review public comments before final approval by the GTC Governance Board.
