The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the GFIC Quote Negotiation Method and Workup Auctions Proposal. The GFIC gap analysis proposal enhances existing quote/negotiation message flows to allow for specifying a negotiation method that is needed negotiation of fixed income securities. Additional enhancements are also made to allow for the specification of workup (private and public phases) auctions that is commonly found on inter-dealer fixed income trading platforms.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
