Regarding currency code YUM and CSD

Hi,

We have application which uses Currency code and its numeric code. I am aware that the currency code YUM was replaced by CSD.

My Concern is, the numeric code for both YUM and CSD is same. Can I know the reason behind this. How can we overcome this situation. Is numeric code should’nt be unique for the currency code provided by ISO.

This will solve us many issues around our application. Thanks in advance.
